Bali Blanche finds something in Bali she was not looking for and does not fully have words for, and the temple at dawn before the tourists arrive gives her the most important experience of the arc. Hazel cannot fully object to the wellness commerce because underneath it sits something ancient and serious she respects, and she evaluates the rice terrace system on engineering grounds and finds it extraordinary.
